Bob Johnson works out an agreement with FOX SPORTS NET, creates a new regional sports network called FOX SPORTS CAROLINA out of the old FXSS . . . Charlotte becomes the home base; Concentrates on ACC, NASCAR, & Southern Conf. sports (with a reporter out of Columbia to cover the USC/SEC beat and one in the Triangle to cover the Canes & ACC teams) as well as the Panthers & Hurricanes. . . GerryV comes home to become the new voice of the Charlotte Bobcats . . . . Mike Solarte hosts the pre & postgame Bobcats shows . . . SPORTSNIGHT (which is on NEWS14 now) heads over to FX-Carolinas and becomes a 1 hour Carolinas based sports talk callin show . . . . . . An in house studio will be built at the new UPtown Arena will allow them to do the show live from all of the home games . . . .

I don't see the Bobcats doing well in this city fan wise and nba wise. There's nothing "new" in the NBA to bring us back. It seems as tough the excitement has all but disappeared. Also with the Panthers doing really well, it'll be hard to take fans away from football.

Savio: will be an interesting watch as this unfolds.....nba in charlotte has some wounds to heal.....early look will be fun..the question will be how long the run last as far as fan energy...like any other town that has earned its bones if ya win they will come....the nfl is a different animal....question still lingers how cities that lack the long time history develop one.....teams need some memory games that stick to your bones..example..win the division..playoffs etc ......

Dukey: don't know Mike Solarte...heard some of him while in Raleigh a few times( thats awhile back) the BUZZ didn't do much for me as a station.. he seemed to have fun on the air.....his work on Charlotte TV is solid........i hope he does very well in charlotte......my work load here is getting extensive now...maybe in the future mike and I do an underground pirate show..

Hey GerryV, Welcome to the board...Buddy here. I listen to your show all the time :cough: I mean I would if I knew where to when...I'm new in Charlotte, but not to the board

What I'd like to know is how do I get some of that Cajun Body lotion? I'm lookin' to spice up up my love life, if you know what I mean...my wife wants to know if it taste spicey too?
