They have a 69% winning percentage in February and March. What is wrong with that? Everyone's schedule is harder later in the season.

People are talking about how Duke is not good at all this year and just getting by...They are freakin 22-3. While the media hypes Duke up a ton as well as all the top powers they are also the first to rip Duke when one little thing goes wrong. Conveniently they talk about 2002, forgetting that Duke won the title just the year before that. They've been to 9 out of the last 10 Sweet 16's. People say that they are underachieving but I don't see anyone else putting up those type of results in the tournament. That winning percentage has to be pretty high with tons of success in the ACC tournament (which no one else has won more than once this decade besides Duke). Sports Illustrated is picking lent off an Armani Suit

Well the point is that Duke has had no reason to slide or fail; they are ranked very high all season and then flame out in the playoffs because they are a one trick pony and somebody has the tools to beat it or because the players are worn down because K fails to develop his bench.

Sure, but dook won in 01, I mean it wasn't 20 years ago like Indiana or some other program.

I think the competition and talent base is much broader now than it was 20 years ago, less teams are making multiple Final Four runs. Save for Florida, has anyone else made multiple Final Fours in the last 6 years? Maryland went twice in a row culminating with their NC.

Dook's run of 7 FFs in 9 years seems highly unlikely to happen again any time soon. I was spoiled ;(
