    This is an insightful post, and I agree. That said, my wife is a size 2 with D cups.

    For me it has to do with the fact that all of those other groups cannot do anything about their situation. The simple fact of the matter is that very few people are not able to change their weight by combinations eating less or excercising. It is simple math really - if you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. If you believe all of the people that say they have no control, then the US has like 8000% more people with thyroid problems than the rest of the world. But it is easier to say that the situation is hopeless than it is to put down the ho-ho's, get off the couch, and go for a walk.

    And your politically correct line of thinking has a lot to do with the fact that our children are alarmingly obese. I travel to Europe at least once a year, and I almost NEVER see fat kids like we have.

    Do you think they are more active, use Mcdonalds and fast food as a treat rather than a norm, or is the culture just ultra aware of not being over weight?
