At Thanksgiving, my family discussed what we wanted for Christmas. My 42 year old sister in law (who has a heart of gold), wants me to make her a bunch of disco CD's. Help! I'm not old enough to remember disco ;) Can someone give me songs to dig up and put on the cds? It'd be a helluva lot easier just to give her cash.

gloria gaynor is disco so i suggest:

    "i will survive,"

"never can say goodbye" (i think this is a cover)

and she did a cover of michael jackson's "i'll be there."

    then there's barry white... :mushy:

sly and the family stone have some great disco tunes. the 70's and 80's were great years for disco music!

I'd rather buy her a CD than support anything that freak has ever put out, but thanks for the suggestion.

    The Hustle - Van McCoy

Ring my bell - Anita Ward

    Last Dance - Donna Summer

Turn the beat around - Vicki Sue Robinson

Play that funky music - Wild Cherry

Rock the boat - The Hughes Corporation

Love Rollercoaster - The Ohio Players

    Upside Down - Diana Ross

We are family - Sister Sledge

    Flashdance - Irene Cara

Those are some of the more popular disco songs.

You must have some Barry White, ABBA (depending on her taste), Parliament/Funkadelic, The Bee-Gees, K-C & The Sunshine Band, The Village People(also depending), Kool & The Gang ( the early stuff), The Gap Band, Lipps Inc.
