    You can negotiate for select channels instead of an entire package. I wanted the Outdoor channel. But it's only offered with the most expensive package. After reading about this online, I called DTV to ask about adding just the single channel. First call, I was told no. Called back later the same day, got a different operator and I have the Outdoor channel added for $2.99.
