Seahawks | Dilfer Goes Down - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
20:19 PT: Associated Press reports Seattle Seahawks QB Trent Dilfer (knee) was knocked out of Saturday night’s exhibition game vs. the Colts with what appeared to be an injury to his right knee. He was helped off the field then taken to the Seahawks’ locker room by cart.

Just another ??? for FF. Some thought his back up was the next best thing since sliced bread. Some used Dilfer as a nice back up on their FF roster.

It’s apparently just a sprain and he’ll be back. However, Cleveland LB Jamir Miller is gone for the year with a nasty Achilles injury.

  4. could be his career...he ain't a qb like vinny, he needs to plant, cut and run. Bryant Westbrook was having a pro-bowl season two years ago when he tore his, he came back to be a shadow of his former self. if it heals, it'll take two years.

MCL tear. Out 4 to 8 weeks. That means Matt could be the QB for the first 4 games.

I gotta kick last year when Larry D took that anal retentive school boys advice "Collin/JHOP/Helm" and picked Hassel... It was fun to watch a guy that claimed to be an expert, side step, back step and explain why Hassel was not the next coming of... ;)

Now don't get me wrong, the kid may one day pan out... but it is rare, very rare, anyone or any team should depend on a rookie QB..... Hassel was not what the kid thought.

Well, Hassellbeck always tore it up in preseason games. Kinda like Fas.....just kidding.

Hassellbeck played better as the year went on, but Dilfer was, and is, better. I've always thought Trent was poorly dumped upon, and I'm glad to say I was one to like Dilfer before liking him was cool. He's got a gun, he's a super bowl winning QB who made plays in that game, and last season he got tired of everyone calling him inaccurate, and did something about it.

Hasselbeck is in his 4th yr... then again he could be one of those rare 3rd year rookies last year.
