I have two and love them. Every now and then I have to unplug them to let them reboot. Can you but these somewhere?

agree its hard to imagine going with out one. It screws me up with the radio too. on the other hand I could have bought 3 TIVO's by now, seeing that TWC charges an arm and a leg for DVR,with guide & remote.

TWC is about 15.00 with the guide and remote. the say the DVR is only 7.00 but you need the other stuff to make it work. Im in an apartment now so DISH/TIVO is not for me. When I get settled in a house I will go that route. not exactly sure how much TIVO cost, but after rebates, etc. less than 100$ for the unit.

yes there is a monthly charge for service with Tivo/dish/direct but you dont pay all of the other equipment fees. plus you have to have digital cable to get DVR with Time Warner,so theres another 10-15.00. cable can end up at 75-80.00+ a month. wether its Tivo(brand) or Direct TV they all have some sort of DVR. I just know its cheaper than Time Warner .

I checked Tivo out. Seems they have a 3 year commitment and they charge 17 a month.

Ill probably go with Time Warners, already paying for digital already.
