Anybody been having problems with it lately? I'm having to reboot like a mofo. If I try to rewind something that isn't a taped show, the channel changes to Comedy Central. I can't cue up some of the shit I recorded also, just get a black screen.

No, I just held in the power button until it rebooted, but I'll try that, thanks.

I don't think I've ever had the tv off for 20 straight minutes, it's an eerie feeling.

You've got a dead box, dude. Just take it in and they'll give you another. Nobody should ever have to be without DVR.

I keep thinking of getting one of these, but all I hear is problems about it. Is it really worth the money if you also deal with the hassle??

the one you get from the cable companies suck

my Sony with DirecTV is pushing 7 years and never had the issues I've had with cable DVR's...matter of fact, it's sat in a box for almost a year once and plugged that puppy up one day and all my shit was still recorded perfectly

playa, you may want to delete a bunch of stuff and unplugging it for a while and let it boot back up...you're going to lose everything if they replace it anyway

I've had over four years of hassle free DVR'ing, all with the same box.

Anyone using Time Warners DVR? Thinking of getting one so i dont miss any World Cup matches.

Can you copy off your DVR to keep things like Panther games or what?
