    Yea that one game proves that Jake could do nothing even with a good running game. Not like we went to the super bowl the only season he had a good running game to support him or anything.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we make the NFC Championship game despite having the worst running game in the whole fucking league? Find your hole and crawl back into it, Thelt. I'm tired of having to put up with you thinking you actually know enough to comment.

    Yeah, we actually weren't last in YPC either. Arizona was the lowest at 3.2, but we were second worst at 3.4. Yet even in 2003 we were just league average in terms of yards per carry with 4.0 (ranked 16th). Regardless, the point was that we didn't need a strong running game to get to the NFC Championship Game last season and the lack of one doesn't explain our struggles this season either. We'd obviously all like to have a smash-mouth running game that could dominate time of possession and wear down opposing teams, but in lieu of that we still have plenty to do well if we just win the turnover battle and actually complete some third down passes.
