    I think he did. Butler was out of time outs so it forced them to take a rushed shot from half court. Granted it almost went in but I think you have to live with that sort of risk.

    No you make the shot and let them TRY to at least tie. Didn't get it and even though the shot didn't go in I still don't get the thinking. WHY take a chance on losing?? Had that shot went in, there are different discussions about K today. I was rooting for Duke and that scared the crap out of me.

    I think it's much tougher to grab a rebound and turn and get up a good shot. If Zoubek makes it, then they have a chance to take it out of bounds and throw it down court and get a much closer and easier shot. I felt like it was the right move.

    It worked, so yeah, it was the right move.

    you can bet that K special ordered that decision. Butler had no timeouts left and Duke was positioned to make them fight for the rebound. they might have had one man drop deep. i saw 4 Duke players in the front court, counting the shooter.

    let the mad scramble begin.

    Butler had to burn their last timeout in order to execute the earlier inbounds, or lose the ball on a 5 second call. it was not check mate but it was a damned good effort for Duke to force that move.

    Unless Butler had hit that last shot?

    Had to be a rushed 3 pointer just to get it to overtime.. as opposed to a rushed 3 pointer to win the game. I'm just thinking why take the chance on losing.

    If he hit the shot then Butler throws the ball in bounds and possibly gets it into the hands of a guy who can square up and get a good look. Remember what Laettner did against Kentucky that time. Missing it lead to a last second heave from mid court. 99 times out of 100 that shot is going to be missed.
