The went 3-2 over the last 5 games.

I still think they are a 1, but if they don't put up a respectable showing in the tourney I think they'll be a 2.

They lost the #1 rating when they lost to Fla St.

I think he means the #1 regional seed for the NCAA tourney.

Duke is still #1 RPI and has the #1 SOS.

A loss in the tourney would put them at 4 loses. There are 6 teams (Duke, UCONN, Villanova, Memphis, Ohio St, and Gonzaga) with 4 loses or less right now with Ohio state currently with 4 and #5 RPI. All other teams have 5 or more loses.

So I think not only would Duke have to lose early but the other 5 teams would need to win their tournaments for Duke to lose its number one seed.

Obviously both Villanova and UCONN can't win although a loss for UCONN would hurt them less than a loss for Villanova.

Edit: Wow, didn't see George Washington on the 4 loses or less list they were so far down the RPI list. I guess they could get some consideration as well.

Unless UConn loses early in the Big East tourney, they have a #1 seat.

Gonzaga pretty much has the #1 in the west wrapped up.

It really depends upon their ACC tournament showing. A loss on Friday could knock them down to a 2. Otherwise they will probably be a 1.

Duke wins 1 game in the ACC tourny they're still a 1 seed, but a loss in their first game would make it close, but as I said It'll only take 1 win.

I don't see even a first round exit causing dook to lose the #1 seed. Their seed will not be based on the last three games. The 1's are set and all the 2's and 3's are set, it's just a matter of where and who will be the 2 or 3. But the top 12 teams are in stone IMO.

I don't know 3 losses in a row would seriously hurt ANY team.
