A military guy caught his 713 homerun blast at Philly. The Giants press got him into the clubhouse to meet Bonds. Bonds gets him to sign a waiver so they could show it on the ESPN slobber fest called Bonds on Bonds. Then when the military guy asked Barry to sign the ball, Bonds refuses. What a total piece of shit

He probably just didn't want the guy to sell it on Ebay the next day, that's also probably why he took a picture with the guy instead. Alot of ballplayers don't sign balls, bats, jerseys etc. I'm sure theres 1001 better reasons why he's a piece of shit than he didn't sign a baseball for a grown man.

He's in the military. I don't care if he put it up on Ebay while the ink was still wet, Barry should have signed it.

I saw him in spring training when he was with the Pirates and he refused to step out of the batting cage in Bradenton to let a 7 year old take his picture. He wasn't even in the lineup that day. This happened to be the same day I got Brooks Robinson's to sign a ball. One guy was class and the other was an ass. I'll leave it for you to decide which was which. It shouldn't be too hard.

what a true prick. i mean this isn't the #1 reason why we hate him as a society, but it sure as hell doesn't make me want to open up to a guy who is about to pass the babe on the all-time HR mark.

so what if the military guy sells it on e-bay? how the hell is it going to affect barry? that can be viewed as a slap in the face to the entire military if you want to take it that far.

either way barry has pissed off the majority of people and fans he's come in contact with over his career so i guess this type of behavior is almost expected. i never heard of the babe passing up an autograph to a kid or anyone for that matter. heres a wild idea: maybe the babe played the game for the right reasons (because he enjoyed it, for the fans, to win a championship, etc..etc..) unlike his buddy sitting on 713.

the babe was an american icon. barry is just a jealous, racist, arrogant individual. it will be a cold day in hell when society recognizes barry as a better pure slugger than the babe based on his juicing habits and the way he treats everyone around him.

What difference does it make if he's in the military?

    I'll tell you why...

Bonds is a piece of $%!#. Last night against the Dodgers with a runner on first, Bonds pops up to 2nd base and starts walking to first after throwing his bat. In a terrible defensive play, the second baseman (I think it was Jeff Kent) drops the pop up. Bonds, who had started to turn to walk back to the dugout, starts to run to first. Dodgers try to turn two and Bonds somehow makes it safely to first. Not running out a batted ball is selfish, unexcusable, and an embarrassment to the integrity of the game. It is something little like that which really pisses me off as an educated baseball fan. Bonds' head is so far up his own ass that he won't even be able to see the ball. I hope he gets a free pass to first base every time he comes to the plate so he never hits another homer.

I wouldn't doubt if Jeff Kent did it on purpose to show up Bonds. Bonds has hated Jeff Kent ever since Kent won the MVP and Barry blamed it on the fact that the public and the media wanted to see a white guy win it instead of a black guy
