Diana Krall!

For any of you that like easy listening, cooking, real jazz, I'd like to recommend that you pick up her Live In Paris vhs[it's probably available on dvd also], or her cd by the same name. I saw the vhs over at a friend's house last night. It is totally, totally neat. She is accompanied by a guitar trio, often with the addition of congas, (subtle)rhythm guitar and symphony orchestra/big band. Some really smooth shit; she's really "on" for this performance.

I did not discover her until a year or so ago when I did a Jazz search on one of the peer to peer deals... her name came up quit a bit... good stuff.

 

Her version of Peel Me a Grape is amazing.

 

Yeah, she's a hottie.
