    It's a very inexpensive and decent looking way to create a work surface with storage.

    most designers prefer this type of system. It gives them the freedom to work without worrying about the surface and allows them to move it quickly if need be.

    Home Depot. A 36" wide door will cost you about $50 or less. The hollow ones are cheaper, but they tend to warp and bend over time.

    You're talking making a "make shift" desk using two file cabs for ends/support/storage and a door for table/work space??
