derrick rose with another masterful performance tonight single-handedly thwarting the #3 team in the east. even 0 derrick rose is just too much for most teams to handle -- he's just that good.

rose is really starting to shine in his new role d'ing up the gatorade. you'd think after beating the top 3 (other) eastern teams in the last 4 games they'd be primed for a let down against a lowly toronto raptors. it looked dodgy for 3 quarters with toronto leading most of the way, but that rose magic struck again in the 4th. lead by rose's amazing bench play, the bulls turned a 4th quarter deficit into a comfortable double digit lead by going on a 20-0 run on their way to a 94-82 win.

wow. first there was linsanity and now we have roseola!

chicago and toronto battled it out once more -- this time in the windy city. the question on everybody's mind was whether rose would deliver again. toronto jumped out early building up a 12 point lead by late in the 1st quarter as rose cunningly lulled them into a false sense of security. his gambit payed off as chicago went on a 15-0 run to start the 2nd quarter anchored by rose's perfect 0-0 shooting to go with an impressive 0 assists. it would be a seesaw battle the rest of the night as neither team could deliver the knock out punch.

then with seconds left in the 4th and toronto up by one, some bulls player did something and ended up hitting a free throw to tie the game and set the stage for rose to carry the team to victory. toronto got a great look at a game winning basket, but andrea bargnani's open jumper rimmed in and out purely out of respect for rose's accomplishments as the league's mvp.

rose's late game heroics wouldn't stop there. again down one with time running out, the bulls had control of the ball bu needed a miracle -- and derrick delivered. when whosit's shot was blocked by that guy, that other dude somehow tipped the ball in and put the bulls up by one as time expired -- capping off an amazing night for rose and adding to his impressive resume with yet another game winning basket.
