another pick off receivers' hands...that has to be 6 or 7 of those. Granted that one was a little high. Ball to King near endzone was a little high, too. We really should just not throw to white people.

I liked the gameplan. Moose was available when he was needed, Smith was dangerous early. That block Moose threw on the Smith TD was unreal - took two guys out. Moose does some stuff blocking that I haven't seen some pro bowl tackles do. Decleat ends, block two guys in space, he can be a monster out there.

Anyway, this is the Delhomme thread. Good game out there, certainly glad the last few weeks haven't been of the Oakland variety. That seems to have been so much more abberation than some expected.

The interception was first tipped by a defender because Jake threw it too close to the linebacker, so it wasn't one of those situations where it was a good throw that a receiver bobbled and tipped up into an undeserved interception.
Huh? Jake played a solid game, but it's the first "solid" game he's had in a long time. Saying that not every game was as bad as Oakland is like saying the Exxon Valdez wasn't as bad as the Titanic. This was his first solid performance since Arizona, unless you want to argue stats racked up in garbage time of the Atlanta blowout.

wow, you mean we disagree on subjective words like 'solid'? Shocking. We should argue for a few years over what is solid and what isn't. The idea that Oakland or Detroit were more representative of his year is certainly false, though.

Good thing no one ever said that he has sucked all year as much as he sucked against Oakland. After all, his performance against the Raiders rivaled Randy Fasani for worst in franchise history. I don't know that anyone could be that bad most weeks of a season. The reality is that if Jake plays decently like he did yesterday, the Panthers can win most games, so I hope we see that more than the taint-licker.

I'm saying things got overblown over that time period. And I'd call that more than decent, but yay let's argue over that word too.
