Seriously...that HAS to be his nickname....Crawdaddy!!

I could hear the highlights on ESPN.....

"The Carolina Panthers are on the Buccaneers 32 yard line....AND WHOSE YOUR CRAWDADDY!!! Delhomme to Moose for the touchdown"!!

    Good call Appstate!!

How about letting Delhomme establish himself as a starter 1st. Last week was great and all but lets not put the cart before the horse.

    Here's an honest take

Everyone is pretty high on Delhomme right now, and why not? This franchise has had more than its share of low points. We have something to celebrate now. Why not do so while we can?

Jake may well come back to earth this week. It's likely, considering he will be facing such a dominating defense. To be honest though, as long as he performs well, I think the fans will give him a pass because this is not a game most expect the Panthers to win.

IF, on the other hand, the Panthers do win, and Delhomme plays any significant role in the win, get ready to see people laying palm branches in his path as he walks down the streets of Charlotte.

I forgot reality has no place on this board. I guess I am old school I just believe before a player gets a nickname he should earn it good or bad Panther or not. I think Jake showed lots of promise last week and of course I hope for the best but its a little early for Crawdaddy.

ESPN countdown has officially said "Delhomme" 13 times now. That's more than they've said "Bucs", or anything else for that matter. A few times they said it just to say it. Young picked Carolina in elimination, and it kept him in. Berman said "Delhomme!" followed by Jackson saying same, to end the second segment.
