    I missed the good Jake most of the time when he was here.

    This years 0-3 start just shows we need to make other moves too.

    even detractors have to admit a few things:
    *there's no reason to start Clausen
    *Newton may not be ready
    *lack of leadership hurt last year, Jake's a leader
    *lack of veteran QB hurt last year, Jake's a vet
    and he wouldn't play long if he were to play.

    Really it's hard to deny this team lives and dies for the guy. That's not a bad thing to have around.

    As much as I liked Fox I would not want Jake back if Fox were still the coach. I would be afraid he would start Jake ahead of Newton or Clausen even if one of them were better. Given that Rivera has no reason or history of doing that it might work out OK to have him back. If he does start some games for us I bet he looks a lot better than Clausen did last year.
