    I expected the extension but $20 million up front? I wonder if they really think he'll be here for 5 more years.

    Speculation - They had to make cap room to sign draftees. That means the Panthers will not Julius Peppers this weekend and are planning on his 16.7 MILLION dollars Tender being on the books awhile.
