No link, sorry bout that, but there was an article saying Mills brought Witherspoon here - talked to him at the Senior Bowl (I think) and then interviewed him at the airport. Mills was also responsible for making the #7 pick Lester Townes better then anyone thought he had a chance to be. If Sam is ready, it would be nice to see him get the job, but I also DON'T want him to be promoted too soon and then fall on his face.

I'm pretty sure Sam has unofficial tenure - long as he gets the job done, he'll have a job here. If he were DC and the staff got fired, I'm pretty certain he'd still have a LB coach job here.

I think Mills should get the call, he's young and firey, much like Del Rio. Plus, I think with him the D would basically maintain while Mills adds his own flavor.
With Fox as the HC, Mills can learn from him as well.

I hope Sam gets a hard look

Not many guys out there have the experience in dfferent schemes that Sam brings to the table. Capers 3-4 was very solid. This years 4-3 was excellent in a different scheme. He also saw what doesnt work for a couple of years. Pretty good education in my book. Turn him loose and maybe he can come up with something unique that combines the best of everything he has seen.
