come to think of it, Rod Perry did perhaps the BEST job of any Carolina coach last year - That Secondary wasn't as bad as we feared.

Yeah, and I was telling some guys at lunch that I've never heard players praise Mills.

I'm not knocking Mills, just pointing that out. Lotsa praise this year for Fox, Trgovac (Peppers, Jenkins, and Rucker), and Perry (Howard and Cousins), and the LB's seemed to praise Del Rio - not Mills.

That's just what i remember. I dunno if it means shit for shit.

I was hoping we could keep the package all together for another year but hard to blame him for rolling up the ladder. I am casting my vote for Trgovac. How long has been in coaching verses Mills?

Thats why I have been asking about Mills the last few days... I really have not read much about his "coaching" other than he is a swell guy and the players seem to like him.

One thing is for sure, the DC needs to be a guy that is not afraid to kick their ass and get in their face... this young defense responded well to that.

That, and Mills was around for a couple of very bad defensive years.

Trgovac has been my 'bet' all along, although I've no idea whether he's the best guy.

Yeah, but I don't think anyone could makes Wells look good.

We had some slow ass linebackers for several years. This is the first year we've had three fast guys out there.

agree. Anyone who can make raw look polished is doing his job - regardless of whether it was all Sam or all Jack or all John. And that's what we had in Fields and even WW.

Good point. And for all we know, Mills wasn't allowed to have a say in Seifert's regime, but was under Fox and Del Rio.

I'm pretty sure Mills had alot to do with drafting Will Witherspoon.
