Actually according to most sites I have seen, Richardson is the b/u FS and J. Cooper the b/u SS. So based on that Meatpile is correct in that it is D. Cooper who Richardson will be competing with, not J. Coop. And right now D. Cooper is not a big factor in the equation. However, I fully expect that once camp starts he will be watched very closely to see if his NFLE exploits can translate. I also think the b/u Safety spots are a little grey. As mVm said below, Richardson did start for Minter early last year (hence the reason for my assumption of Coop at FS), so he probably has the most flexibility of any of our b/u Safeties which definitely works in his favor. Anyway, I guess only time will tell.

Richardson is a liability in the passing game. Good fun stuffer but a definate target to pick on deep.

IMO of the three FSs, J Cooper is absolutely the only one who can defend a pass. I've watched film and Minter doesn't have a clue; neither does Richardson unless the ball pops up in the air and one or the other is near. J Cooper will be better than either this year because he is also a hitter and a pass defender.

Grant is not bad. In fact he is improving nicely in all aspects. If I'm not mistaken Grant had as many INTs in the NFL as D Cooper had in NFLE.
