try gatorade---you need something that ain't in water. I think water is a prervention for it and not the cure. Or something like that.

Hers some signs of mild dehydration--if you got any of these then you need to get something that ends with a "yte" in your body.

    dry mouth
few or no tears when crying
    fussy behavior in infants
fewer than six wet diapers per day in an infant (more than 4 to 6 hours without a wet diaper in a younger infant under 6 months of age)
no urination for 6 to 8 hours in children
soft spot on an infant's head looks flatter than usual, or somewhat sunken
despite dehydration, still has strong pulse and normal heart rate (especially an older child)

There are some products out on the market that are designed to rehyrdrate your body above and beyond the normal gatorade type stuff. Rehydrate....is the name of one of the products. Used by lots of athletes including NASCAR drivers who typically lose 5-10 pounds of water weight during a race. It comes in a droplet form, and you drop a few drops into gatorade or other liquid. The drivers that use this start using it a couple days before and all the way up to the race to keep them hydrated during the race. There is also a gooey type product that I'm not sure of the name of. You simply open the packet and squeeze it into your mouth. I've heard of people running marathons and triathlons who use this stuff. I think this is supposed to be more of an on-the-spot type fix than the Rehydrate which you have to load up on.

Not sure of where you can find these tho. GNC or Planet Nutrition would be a good place to start.

If I remember right, once you're dehydrated it's not a matter of getting hydrated real quick and then being back to normal just like that. It takes time.

Definitely Yuck. Prevention is best. Those products I mentioned were just some that will help accelerate the process more than gatorade or the like.
