These are some crazy ass mofos. 50 mph winds and 45 foot seas? No prob, let me just jump up on this pile of crab pots. 7 lb crabs that can snip your finger off? No prob, let's just start reaching in there.

They do make some good cash though.

that's a good show. I'm recording the series.

Of course the guy who forced his ship to return to port by threatening to jump over board was wearing a lions jersey...ironically a charles rogers jersey.

Isn't that one of the deadliest jobs out there, other than WV coal mining?

Based on what happened at the end of that show, he may have made the right decision.

Plus, I don't really think that guy came off as that bad. He was admitting taht he just couldn't do it. And he seemed genuinely remorseful for letting everyone down.

They make a secretary's annual wage. Granted, they make it in about 10-14 days, but still.

Oh, and you forgot near freezing water that will kill you inside of 5 minutes if you fall overboard.

Not any more. When the fleet had a quota, the seasons were very very short. Now that each ship has a quota, they can take their time. Plus, some of the guys did two or maybe three seasons a year, but I don't think it amounted to much more than that. I could be wrong, though.
