I want to eat Thelt. I want to eat all of his organs, and then peel off his face and wear it as a mask while I post on TBR under my next alias, Thelt II: Thelt Harder.

In obvious passing situations, you're in nickel. Which means a 4-2. That's almost universal.

The Eagles go with a 3-3 sometimes, and blitz a guy, but it's not caught on elsewhere.

I am not the expert on defense formations and I will admit that. The notion that we could add a wrinkle to our defense to allow Peppers to line up at linebacker and be free to blitz or play in coverage is not out of the realm of reality though.

You could stand him up. You could move him around standing up.

Granted, I don't buy that Peppers has been universally held back. That he shouldn't be an every down end? I don't believe that part, so it becomes should he have to play the run, I guess. I don't see that being held back. If dropping him into coverage is the complaint that's fine, but then I would have a hard time supporting the "he needs to be a linebacker" thing.

The end result is I believe he should be an end. Rush the passer, play your gap. Standing him up might help him a little, and it doesn't benefit the team much.

But then again I've heard for the last couple years how we were going to do this or that with him, and when we did try it, he didn't benefit.

They wrinkle the fuck out of Peppers. He moves around everywher and drops into coverage all the time. Do you watch the games?

Do you have any doubt he could play the same role that Merriman or Ware play and do it very well?
