    I don't believe I would back the hiring of Herm Edwards as DC, but he is now available.

    I would love to see what he could do with the secondary.

    I'm good with either. I wouldn't want a straight Tampa 2, I think that's fairly dead, but what he could do with either position would be heartening. Right now, he's my top possible option for DBs coach, with Jerry Gray backing, and my 3rd for DC.

    I don't think it's out of the question that Herm comes here as the DB coach, not as defensive coordinator.

    Herm coachings DB's, Haslett as the DC. That wouldn't be a bad start.
