Did you realize you were at TBR and not the Huddle when you posted this? This kind of mindless homer bullshit doesn't fly here. Moreover, I don't know why you would post it at all given that we've discussed ad nauseum how the move made absolutely no sense.

It was not just "a good game," as Steve Smith is currently 3rd in the NFL for receiving yards. Nor can that be dismissed as a small sample fluke given that Steve was 12th in the NFL for 2013 and 5th in 2012. Even with Shula fucking things up, Smith was not only the Panthers' best wideout last season but the team's overall best target on third downs. When targeted on 3rd down, Steve got a first down 54.5% of the time. Olsen converted 38.5%, LaFell converted 36.4%, and Ginn converted 44.4%.

If you want to point out that what's done is done and complaining about it now won't change anything, fine, although I believe there is still value in discussing a general manager's mistakes. But saying that "Gettleman did the right thing" is absolutely indefensible.

Gettleman pissed off Gross to the point that he wanted to stop playing. Gettleman pissed off DeAngelo to the point that he made cracks about him on Twitter. Gettleman completely neglected the offensive line to the point that Cam Newton has taken far more hits than any other quarterback and currently looks like a shell of himself. Gettleman picked up two of the worst safeties from 2013 who are unsurprisingly playing like two of the worst safeties in 2014. Gettleman passed on numerous prospects in the middle and late rounds of the draft that many of us wanted who have since gone on to be contributing starters for their teams. The absolute best thing you can say about Dave Gettleman so far is that at least he isn't as bad as Hurney in giving away first round picks or huge contracts, but that's like saying it's better to be pissed on than shit on. Neither one should be acceptable.

I felt bad for Rivera that he had to be the one eating shit from the media about it on Monday, as he had nothing to do with the decision. If Gettleman is going to insist on hogging the mic during draft and offseason pressers, I think he should also do a postgame presser so he can get grilled about his shitty roster's performance.

Oh hell yeah. And he left Rivera out there on the Hardy deal too, while he hides under the bed.

GM's really are fucking pieces of shit. They get to make all the major decisions and have much more job security than the coaches.

Sorry I wasn't necessarily meaning only Panthers getting cut but didn't Kevin Greene leave after not wanting to take a pay cut?
