Help me out what am I missing? Other players have balked at pay cuts and we're subsequently waived. Why did Gettleman need to make up a story.

    More from Steve:
“When that time comes, I’ll be able to walk back in those doors and retire as a Panther and have the respect and not have such a split and not allow the few individuals in their temporary residence there to alter a decade of what I’ve done and experienced in that great organization. … I was there 13 years, and the way I look at it and what I was told, I’ll be there a lot longer than they will.”

I love that fucker. My cuz is a long time Ravens season ticket owner, we were talking about Smitty today. Of course he is loving it.

No, what Panthers refused Gettleman's demand for pay cut and were released? You said it happened but I can't recall any besides Steve.

Gross, though technically not released, may also be gone for that reason.

Steve Smith is 35 yrs old. He had a good game, ok. I think Gettleman did the right thing. It was time.

I think he needs a few years to get the cap in order especially with the RBs. Those 2 cap hits sitting and drinking Gatorade all Sunday is a KILLER to this team.
Add that to the Hardy thing and we're going to be hurting right? How could Gettleman really fix that last offseason? Release the Kraken? Maybe but then he goes out and gets 20 sacks for someone else and everyone is bitching anyway. If anything losing Hardy like this confirms that keeping him was the right move at the time. The defense is totally different without him hanging out in the other teams backfield all day.

No win situation when things out of his control start happening. Just my opinion.

How the fuck can you fucking say this after what happened Sunday? I'm honestly asking you. What drug makes you this blind to reality? I really want to know because I'd love to get some of it.
