    From Profootballtalk:

Free-agent receiver Darnay Scott will visit the Falcons on Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Also in the mix for a job with the Falcons is receiver Willie Jackson, who visited the team on Wednesday and left with a contract offer.

"I hope they will consider their opportunities here," said new Falcons chief administrative officer Ray Anderson, who handles contract negotiations. "We're very interested in both."

The Falcons' salary cap situation prevents them from making a significant offer to either player, neither of whom should expect to be in line for a big payday anywhere.

The Panthers and Redskins are interested in Jackson, and the Jaguars are rumored to be interested in Scott.

At this point, I wouldn't be dissapointed with either. For close to the minimum that is.

We won't get Jackson for minimum, San Fran offered him a 2 year averaging $1.4 million per year.

I would question whether the Jags can afford Scott too.

Maybe we will be seeing more 2 TE sets from the panthers next year. Getting 2 of our TEs in seems like a good idea ATP. We have some talent there and it would aid the run game in terms of blocking on the edge.

Jags actually have some cap space. Of course, it came from cutting their roster to the bone.
