I like Morgan a lot but...
Go back and look at the rap on him while he was still at Miami. There were plenty of questions about him because he missed several games his last two years due to concussions. He seemed slow to recover from those.

Sorry...I was going a little further back than his Panther problems. Shoulda mentioned that. Back then it was concussions, but the questions remained about his durability.

His durability is a big question mark. That's the only reason I'd consider trading him. I wonder if Butch Davis would give Holcomb and a high pick for him?

not that i really give a rat's ass anymore but trading Morgan has to be the most lame idea that i've seen yet

Sure about that, kshead? I remember the big thing about Morgan is the fact that he didn't miss games though 4 years?

No one is giving up a QB for a linebacker, and we'd be stupid to give up YET another first rounder because he's missed some games in his early career.

About the missing games? No, I'm not sure. I think you may be right that he never missed a game. But he may have left a few or been questionable.

About the fact that he suffered a couple of concussions his last year? Absolutely. The only reference to them that I could find though was a story from Jan 1, 2001, on the Miami U website that talked about how he suffered one in the opener when he got kicked in the head. There was more to it than that though.

I'm not saying give up on him by the way.... I just always wondered about a guy who - even though he has plenty of guts and will play like hell - can get concussions at a position that can least afford it. Eventually, guts won't mean shit if/when the doctor tells him "it's over". Never had a chance to mention that about him on this board before now. We talked about it a lot at work when he was drafted because a truckload of Skins fans I know wanted him.
