you're up 13 points with 4 1/2 minutes to go, you should be able to be conservative. with Weinke at QB (who is well known to do some really mindless dumbshit stuff to lose a game) and our lack of weapons at wr (or even someone that can get open or can catch a pass), i would expect (want) us to be conservative at that point. i would have been tickled pink to see Weinke hand the ball to Smith barreling into the line 3 times in a row after they scored that first TD. but on second down they let Weinke throw an incomplete pass and stop the clock . . . if it had worked for a first down, game over. it didn't and gave the cowgirls 40-50 extra seconds, which made us defend the entire field rather than just the endzone. me, i'm thinking that was stupid ... we should have run a give up play and taken the time off the clock. since they have that extra time and we need to defend enitre field, witherspoon steps up trying to stop them from gaining a first on 4th and 14 and . . . you know the rest.

another wierd call, i think we are still up 13 and just needing to not do anything real stupid. think we handoff to fb (?) who pitches wide to trailing rb. looked like a disaster in the making -- not a give up play.

agree, but it's easy to critisize after the fact. and it's been more than just that. our offense in general has been pretty shitty. but we don't have a QB or WRs or a TE. and the OL returned to form picking up a hundred penalties yesterday. other than that, i was thinking that things are starting to look rosy for us -- we didn't turn the ball over -- even with Weinke at the helm.

think Peete tried that on what should have been a TD. Smith looked like he was trying to field a punt and couldn't backpedal fast enough.

ya know i was so fucking depressed yesterday it was kinda nice to come here and see all the sandy bashing. kinda funny and helped to get my mind off of yesterday. sandy, i tend to agree with ya on Weinke athough ya do seem to go a bit overboard by constantly reminding us of this opinion ... even when weinke didn't really do anything to lose the game for us yesterday. don't really think ya deserve all the shit ya get but responses like this aren't helping ya case. from past threads, my guess is that you're still letting the emotion of yesterday's game get to ya and you're just taking it out on everyone (kinda like when i kicked the dog yesterday). lighten up. ya know like mag. if someone disagrees with ya, just shrug it off and get on with life and i think you'll be happier.
