Why the hell do people want to get rid of Weinke? One year, bad shoulder for half of it, in an ill-fit offense? "Well yeah but for just two #1 picks we can get a guy just like him but an inch taller and $80 mil more expensive."

he's not a fullback. he's not a runningback. he fumbles more than biakabutuka and is oft-injured at that. he blocks about as good as a bowl of jello. he doesnt score a bunch of touchdowns, hasn't led the league in first-down runs and isn't a sure bet to get the short yards.

the only thing he's ever done is occassionally make a run where he breaks a few tackles. and berman puts him on espn each time he does it.

OVERRATED.

 

BLEDSOE IS TALLER THAN WEINKE??? WOW. I DID NOT KNOW THAT. Sorry about the caps. It's a program we use that requires all caps and I just don't take it off . Sorry. Alstott should pay Berman half b/c he is the reason he has such a big name. he is a waste of space. But saying Bledsoe is not any better than Weinke is absurd. Let him finish his career here. Draft some talented receivers and build around him, not getting talented receivers and hoping that was Weinke's problem. We can probably get him cheaper than 80 mil anyway. He'll love Charlotte.
