Anybody watch "Monday Morning Quarterback on ESPNews? I didn't even know it was on. Yesterday I'm scanning the channels. ESPNews from Noon-4pm runs a press conference with every teams HC. It's pretty cool. I had to leave for work so I just hit record and left. Fox came on at 3:45 and didn't say a whole helluva a lot. (UltimateTV, no tapes, 35 hours of digital recording, can't beat it)

Anyway, Campo........seemed he still can't believe they won that game. Calling out Dallas' injuries though, everyone it seemed had to do with a foot or ankle. I think that turf is worse, not better. The commentator on the game said the Panthers seemed to have better footing than the Cowboys, and they thought that was strange. I think they backed off the traction due to injuries and that was why.

I think eventually, someone will attempted indoor grass. Necessity is the root of all invention, and I think it's necessary. There's got to be a way to have some circulation fans, sky lights, artificial light, something. The money they save on turf should cover the expense. They grow plants in a greenhouse. I grew pot in my bedroom. They can find a way to grow grass in a dome.

They already have a way to do it. Check out the field at the Meadowlands. It's the same tray set up they used for the World Cup a few years back in the Silver Dome. It works pretty well.

  4. what's the difference between that stuff and Field Turf (ie several colleges and the Seahawks and Lions use Field turf)? Anybody else use the stuff the Cowboys use?

You know, whatever your opinion is on Emmit, he has played the majority of his career on turf. it's amazing he hasn't been injured more often.

  5. here's an interesting article...why the new artificial turfs are better than real grass:

A lot of the big programs are putting that stuff in. It helps recruiting. The chances of injury are much less on this type of field because it doesn't break up like real turn can. Ask Dan Morgan about that.
