I honestly can't believe that I'm about to defend Collin, but unless you either know someone or are willing to start at the absolute bottom (meaning that you have a slim/none shot of getting noticed) your prospects of making it are pretty much zero.

And luck. You'll need a shitload of luck.

I just can not get into the college game, mostly due to the lack of a playoff system. I can not watch it just to scout for the NFL. If you enjoy that then more power to you but my level of interest stops somewhere short of that I suppose.

I'm not up in his jock at all. Only time I've ever cheered for Keyshawn is when he got hit so hard I hoped his neck got broke.

I've always hated seeing his mug.

That said - I like the signing. Bargain compared to Moose - and I'm giving the FO the benefit of the doubt regarding his arrogance.

i think the issue with collin would be that great leaders surround themselves with people who are smarter than they are, and know how to bring out their best. the first i don't think he could admit, and the 2nd would be downright impossible for him.

    I'm well aware of that.

I just get a little tired of Collin's "I'm always right because I'm me" act. I mean, usually the guy knows his stuff, but the schtick is incredibly old.

The "I'm smarter than half the GMs/Head Coaches/Etc" thing just boggles my mind though.

Just heard a clip on 610 from the MSP. It was Smitty himself saying that he talked to Key and Marty about 1 1/2 before the signing to let them know his thoughts. He said that Key completely understood and the more they talked the more they agreed upon things.

So it seems like they see eye to eye. I enfer those comments to be Smitty saying it's his teams and Key agreeing and that he's here to help do everything he can to win a Superbowl.

The panthers/key are also on the front page of yahoo.com but they're reporting Key signed a 19 million dollar contract. That's alot higher than the 14 million we've heard.
