    the fact that you could even get started trying to compare jr to gordon or jj is laughable. jr is the worst driver on his team.

    maybe that is why they got rid of Mears, he couldn't sell shirts since the talent level seems close

    dude I'm not saying he's not a good or a nice guy but when you try to compare his talent to Gordon or Johnson you just make yourself look foolish

    but hey keep buying those hats and shirts,good luck getting one that says Sprint Cup champion

    What makes a guy a good driver? Seems like it's the best communicators, the guys who can tell their crew chief what's going on.

    Here are the facts:
    1. Junior is a fair driver who can't get the best equipment in Victory Lane
    2. He is very savvy from a marketing standpoint and there are lots of talented folks pulling that gravy train
    3. Many of his troubles can be traced back to poor judgement and bad decision-making under pressure (missing pit stalls, not parking the car in the correct place)......he doesn't seem as focused as a champion needs to be.....this ain't the "hell with it, go for broke" days of his Dad
    4. He needs to win bad and he knows it, creating more pressure and more trouble.
    5. He will NEVER win a season championship

    You must have let the exhaust fumes overtake you!

    I'll agree number 5 is an opinion, but it's very likely to become fact due to numbers 1,3 & 4...it's time to face facts:

    1. FACT: Junior results are only fair....he is not a consistent winner and struggles to make the Chase
    2. FACT: Junior is a savvy market maker and does well on TV (Letterman, etc). There is a small army pumping out tons of Junior crap for fools to spend money on (GEM mint whatevers)
    3. FACT: Junior is top-rated in one category; foolish maneuvers that cost him, his team and his sponsors (they would like it better if he visited Victory Lane more than once in a blue moon)
    4. FACT: He needs to win now more than ever since he has a Hendricks ride and can't say his stuff is junk

    I didn't realize these Earnhardt fans were so blind! Someone tell me what he has done...he can't hold a candle to the RESULTS of Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, etc.

    Championships and races are about WINNING. Marketing is about $$$$. Junior wins the marketing race, but chugs in back in the pack for the trophy....not even close to being a factor on the track...an also-ran week in and week out. He may be a factor early...until he has a brain cramp and blows up his teams chances.
