Well...the SC/CSF game was close, 2-0. SC has one serious CWS scoring drought, I think its something like 40 scoreless innings now (dating back to the mid 80's). This is their 3rd straight CWS appearance and you can tell the frustration is killing them.

This Miami/LSU game, on right now, has settled down a bit after a torid start. My sons legion game got rained out tonite so I'm at least getting my baseball fix for the night. woot!

actually, their scoring drought applies only to their opening CWS games. they worked their way out of the loser's bracket in 2002 to play Texas in the Championship game...which they lost 12-6.

I have been to the CWS twice. a ton of fun to attend, but not the best baseball in the world. I was at the '98 title game won by Souther California 21-14. The score would indicate a championship game in football, not baseball.

I hope the Gamecocks clean house on Fullerton. Maybe they'll be mad enough from the first-go-round to do it.
