Yeah, I said that they usually had 7 DL active, but our fourth DT was just Moorehead back then. I just have a hard time seeing them bench Carstens for McCadam when we already have plenty of special teams tacklers. He adds nothing to the regular defense, and isn't necessary on special teams, whereas Carstens would presumably be used in a DT rotation along with Lewis. Inactivating another TE could work, though.

they kept 2 TE active most of last year. Some was injury (they wouldn't have Mangum inactive if they could help it).
I assume your list had King inactive already.

Wesley was inactive 3 games at the beginning of 04. Other than that, the only DB inactivity in 04 was Hawkins and Tillman being hurt, and when we'd pick up a new guy (who the fuck is J. Whitley?)
I also didn't find much LB inactivity other than occasionally Allen, Fields once in 04, and the generic Morgan injuries, but we didn't keep 7 then.

Everyone did not see MCcadam even making the final 53
Everyone did not see just 2 QB's in final 53
Everyone did not see 4 TE's
Everyone did not see 10 D-L's

Yet Fox did all the above

So for anyone at this point to ASSUME they have any idea what FOX is going to do next is FUNNY

it's always worthwhile to talk about it. If you're not around to talk about it, there's no point in being here.

Some did see some of those things happening. I don't think anybody would expect 6 DTs, but I don't believe we're done.

I also called 4 TEs a month ago. Meanwhile McCadam is a mystery and 10 DLs is probably just until we can trade one.

It's kind of been overlooked today, but I'm very happy about us keeping Shelton over Robertson. Very happy.

There are some moves that I disagree with. Ciurciu over Adams. McCadam over Salley. Hankton over Hill. 4 TE's instead of 3 TE's and Cramer. But overall, I'm pleased with how the roster is shaping up. The only thing, imo, that we could potentially regret is letting go of Adams, but I don't think he would have made a huge impact this year, and Anderson could very well be the starter in '07.

No way. Given that I know absolutely shit about football, but i would have kept:

    Adams
    Biddle
    Bush
    Cramer

    & possibly Basanez.

I don't get wtf we're doin. Half the guys we waived seem likely to be picked up before we can stick'em on the PS.

Feels like the staff is deciding based on loyalty/seniority over common sense. I hate when GMs do shit like that.
