I hope our guys are not intimidated to play the defending NCAA champs on opening night. What a huge stage to be on. This game will have huge national media coverage and we can begin our stamp on this season with a W. I think athletically we match up and are capable. We can win the game if we don't have the pucker factor, and just play ball like its in any other gym. If Lutz lets the guys be in envy of it all, we will get killed. Lutz must convince our guys that they are there to compete and not feel inferior, and that is very tough to do inside your own head, given the circumstance here.

Hopefully the Syracuse locker rooms are deep enough under the stands to muffle some of the noise from when the banner is dropped. I would be willing to bet that Syracuse will come out tight the first five minutes.

This game is like playing with house money. Let it all fly there is nothing to lose in this one.

The National Championship banner has already been raised, during their Globetrotters game. I saw it on SportsCenter.

You would think ESPN would have jumped on this one?!?!? Nat'l champs home opener against a high major.

Davidson gets back to back ESPN games to start the season.

And no other SoConf team probably is on ESPN until Tournament Championship Week.

    HighPoint,
The gorilla you use for your avatar died the other day. He was the only known albino-gorilla and lived somewhere around 25 years longer than most gorillas do.

    Saw the story on CNN

I saw that Heckler, I'd picked the avatar after a story saying Snowflake was dying of cancer. If you've ever seen gorillas close up, you know how "human" they are. Or maybe it's how "gorilla" we are! Seeing one this rare certainly would've been a treat.

    Snowflake, you'll be missed. 3
