    congrats to the cubbies. its a true shame ol harry himself wasn't around to see this happen. now that would have been one of the all-time greatest moments in baseball there.

    hopefully the cubs can keep it going. i'd love to see them in the world series. i at least hope it doesn't take another 95 years for them to win another post-season series. damn good for baseball when the likes of the cubbies and red sox are winning.

    I was happy for A. Ramirez. I played a fair amount with him in the Pirates days and he was a good kid. He is a freak with his power.

    Last night was great for Chicago. Imagine what it would feel like had the Panthers gone 95 years without a playoff win.

    The story lines are endless thinking of Harry Cary and Santo.

    hey metro, since you mention the pirates...i feel as if this series was some sort of pirates payback for those early 90's seasons where they had bonds and bonilla and couldn't get by the braves. funny how it all works out, huh.

    I think it's kind of funny in the NL the two teams with 100 wins are the ones eliminated.
