My initial reaction was surprise that Oakland didn't get a prime prospect, but they did get several guys who are solid contributors. Gallagher is solid and will be cheap for a few more years, while Murton is an underrated hitter, and Patterson has some offensive ability as well.

Hendry did a great Job, now lets just pray Harden stays healthy. We all know the Cubs history with pitchers........

    Rich Harden=

in his career he is 34-0 when his team scores 5 or more runs while he is on the mound.

he is 34-2 when his team scores 3 or more runs while he is on the mound.......

the cubs are scoring lots of runs this year

if he stays healthy the cubs run away with the nl central.

did you really just do that? c'mon paul, you gotta be better than that. The Giants scored 7 in the final 2 innings to tie it. Going to extras now.

agreed. If he's healthy for the rest of the season.....the cubs run away with it...and if he is healthy in October.............well..........you know what I might say next.

The Cubs are wasting a great pickup in Harden. He has struck out 30 batters in Hardens last 3 starts (17 total innings) and has a era around 2 since he was traded. I think he is like 1-4 so far

Cubs better hope for the wildcard because the Brewers look unstoppable and will win the division. They need to hold off the Cards and Phillies and just get in. It is far from a foregone conclusion that they are going to even make it to the playoffs.
