    Tell me about it!!!

I never thought I would never be doing this, but I'm gonna rip a new hole in the Cubs fans while I got a chance. I have always respected the Cubs fans for being loyal and being great baseball fans through their history, and I also like the fact that they have a good following that made the trip to Atlanta, but after winning game one and reading some of the comments by the Chicago fans and the Chicago media, I lost a LOT of respect for them.

They win their first division title since 1989 and their first playoff game since the 1940's, and instantly their fans have gone from being great fans that everyone had sympathy for, to now a really obnoxious and arrogant bunch of fans. Now that a sweep is not possible, the Chicago fans will come back to reality...

I wonder what the hell this jerk who wrote this article is thinking now that the series is tied at one?

Bigdan every team has some jerks for fans. I am sure most of them are just really really happy to have won a playoff game.

Actually, you guys have no freaking idea what you are talking about. Obviously, you haven't read a thing this guy has written all year and you make a judgement on him based on one article.

This guy has been against the Cubs all year long. Since early spring, he's been saying that Dusty is way overrated. He's been against the owner, The Chicago Tribune.

All year long, all he's seen is negatives in an otherwise suprising year.

Now, after they won game 1, he finally saw something positive. So, he wrote about it.

He wasn't gloating. He was only surprised that the Cubs actually won a playoff game AND that the playoff game was ON THE ROAD. If you know the Cubs at all, those are huge reasons to be shocked and awed.

He was also surprised by the turnout of Cub fans in Atlanta. That was some sight - in both games - to see how many Cub fans were there in Atlanta. He was only making a comment about it. If you were to go to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, you'd see several articles on the same topic.

By the way, this wasn't the Cub's first playoff win since the 1940s. They won 2 games in the 1984 divisional playoffs, back when the better team got to play two games at home, then three on the road.

So, you lost respect for the Cub fans? You think he was gloating? You have no idea what you are in for IF (a big if) the Cubs win the series.
