    fry up some fatback. save the drippings. boil your crowder peas for ten minutes, reduce heat, pour in drippings, dump in some salt, and cover. let them perc for a few hours but dont cook them mushy. sample the fried fatback every time you walk thru the kitchen.



    btw, carl has been known to slicken his comb-over with said drippings when he though nobody was watching
