I pulled my credit through experian yesterday. I have fair/good credit scores from all three agencies. I call me mortgage broker today to inquire about a home equity loan. Broker pulls my credit and tells me its 85 pts lower than what I pulled.

Watch out for freecreditreport.com it's bullshit. I've already called the National Foundation for Consumer Credit and explained my situation and they couldn't do shit about it.

Update- just spoke with my broker and gave him the website and login information. He said he sees this problem all the time.

This is total bullshit how these agencies can report varying information.

That's fucked up. Did you pull all 3 scores? Then you go by the middle. I also have a company that only uses your Beacon (Equifax) score if that's the highest.

I have run into this before. Someone pulled theirs online and it was WAY off from what I pulled. We went line by line and everything was exactly the same...except the scores...and, of course, the one they pulled was higher.

Have to use mine. It's a commercial pull as opposed to a consumer pull. There are only a handful of companies you can use...Equifax (commercial side), Land America, Credit Plus, etc...

They should all be the same. I had a guy at ABN Amro pull it in that situation and it was the same thing I had.

I've had mine pulled in the past few months by two people and myself. There's almost 80 points difference in the three agencies. All of them told me it wasn't because of the number of times it had been pulled. All three had the same info. None of them were freecreditreporting.com. I got them myself from the three bureaus. They were the highest.

I use annualcreditreport.com. Haven't noticed any discrepancies yet.
