Pretty good movie, went to see it last night, wasn't sure what to expect. A lot to keep up with and trying to tie one thing to another.

This was the best movie i've seen in so long! From the beginning to the end it kept me interested, and proved some good points about race and sexual descrimination.

I would totally reccomend everyone to see this!

Finally rented this weekend. A superior movie. Very well written, acted and filmed. Told a compelling story without being preachy, formulaic, or using a sitcom ending.

Best movie of the year, IMO. Just ahead of The Constant Gardener.

I thought the story was kinda predictable like Grand Canyon. I just thought it was kinda cheesy.

Still good, though. I just found it 'simple'.

I figured out the 2nd big plot twist towards the end before it happened, but the first one caught me by surprise. I guess I'm just "simple".

Some of the characters really hit home. I know people like them. Guess that's why I enjoyed it.

The characters were good. It was entertaining. It came highly regarded, so maybe my expectations were too high.

I thought it was a bit overdramatic, and the cheesy race-relation things usually are, but they don't seem to stand the tests of time as a great movie. Kinda like Grand Canyon.

Or Dances with Wolves winning best picture over Goodfellas.

Race wasn't what the movie was about though Meat. It was just one sub issue. A big one, but it wasnt the point.

I guess I'm saying that if you watched it as a preachy race movie, then you missed the point. It was about human failings. I thought it was powerful.

For instance - what about the consistent theme of the misidentified guardian angel? I thought that was a commentary on the flaws of human perception. It was recurring in the storylines. There was also a very definite struggle for all of the characters to find a sense of self - unfortunately, no one else in their lives "got" them. All too self absorbed to see what's really going on.

I think one of the biggest things in this movie and a problem that a lot of people look over in life was not what everybody was scared of, but the people themselves that ended up causing most of the problems from their perception of other people.

Pretty okay movie. I saw it with no expectations. For me, it was just a "Who will say the worst thing next" kind of situation. It was pure shock value. But, the ending with Phillipe in the car was just totally unbelievable. He changed from open minded to murderous in a split second. He totally wigged out over harmless comments that weren't racist at all. Sure, they needed a way out for the ending, but that ruined one of two decent guys in the movie.
