    Yeah I totally agree, I was just trying to think of someone the Cavs had that might help us inside. JJ Hickson is a lot like Tyrus Thomas Jr so I don't think I'd want that either.

    Would love to see us get Jason Thompson from Sacramento, he's the type of player we need and he might be available with DeMarcus Cousins there.

    I'd think that, its not technically OUR 1st round pick. So it should be allowed.

    can't do it.

    if you could, then the 8th seed in the playoffs could swap picks with the top seed for cash considerations or some lesser talent. and then they'd ship off the #30 pick to whoever they owed their pick to instead of the #17 pick.

    Ahhh, good point. I knew there had to be a loophole there that someone likely tried to exploit in the past.

    I've been thinking the Panthers should try the old Larry Bird rule, drafting Andrew Luck anyway like the Celts did. I'm sure the NFL has already outlawed that though :(
