    Cowboys: Team talking trade

    News
Shortly after being hired, head coach Bill Parcells promised that the Cowboys' roster would be turned over often, but so far Parcells has done little to shake things up. However, owner Jerry Jones confirmed that the Cowboys are currently in discussions regarding two possible trades, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Parcells said, "I wouldn't be surprised if something happened." The paper specifically asked if Rams' quarterback Kurt Warner was one of the options, and Jones denied those rumors. "No veteran quarterback around here," Jones explained. "The veteran quarterback is not on the scene." The paper did say that the Cowboys are offering up players currently on their 45-man roster, so it would stand to reason that Dallas would expect to receive immediately useable talent in return.

With no solid rumors going around for the Cowboys, it's tough to get too excited about this news. Warner and Mark Brunell would be ! two veteran quarterbacks that Dallas could go after, but Jones cut off that idea quickly. Dallas could also be pursuing an upgrade to Troy Hambrick and/or to the offensive line, which would help fantasy owners, but that's all speculation on our part. We'll keep an eye on any possible rumors coming out of Big D.

    Curtis Martin?

Makes less sense to go after a vet running back than a vet QB.

They won't bring in a vet QB. Not until next year.

Mark Brunnell. No reason to trade.

And hey, Quincy played well last week. I think he'll tear up Vinnie and the Jets.
