*Donald Driver - his extension? 5 years, $11 million. Oh my God.
    Figures.

Certainly wouldn't suck to have him at that price, but naturally we won't and wouldn't have.

    *From Len Pasquarelli:

Teams seeking a one-year "bridge" quarterback, a guy who would serve as the starter in '03 while tutoring his eventual replacement, might consider the possibility of adding Vinny Testaverde, who probably won't return to the New York Jets next year. Another longtime veteran, Doug Flutie, could be available if he declined to restructure a pricey contract.

    (we're doomed)

    Vinny it might well be.

Henning and Vinny are pretty fond of one another.

I'd be OK with it if we drafted a high pick. Vinny's no worse than Rodney Peete, and I'd like to have a competent veteran if we go the rookie route AGAIN.

I'd heard talk of Vinny, and cringed, and hadn't even recalled Vinny and Henning's past. I still cringe, but could live with it only if he were there to do for us what the Jets used him for with Pennington, only for much less time. Like maybe half a season.

That's suggesting Henning will still be here, which I'm really not interested in. While it may not be all on Hennings shoulders, it was still his idea to bring in Peete and he never got Weinke ready to play. To say this offensive scheme is too complicated and then to watch the play calling, somethings a miss.

So let's just not suggest Henning stays.

Vinny on the other hand should just retire a Jet if they do not bring him back.

Flutie would probably want to start for 5 years.

Why, you think there`s a problem with the play-calling of Henning?

I wouldn't mind seeing Flutie here, he's old but is till pretty mobile and would probally be a good mentor to whoever we draft.

Driver was a still at that price.

Donald will make in 5 years what Moose will make in 2 and Moose will catch in 5 years what Driver does in 2.:D

I'd rather grab King and have a guy that can start for a few years with less risk of injury. Keep Peete as the back-up and mentor to the rook.

I'd like to have king too. Gruden moved him up to 2nd on the depth chart this week. Tampa will probally resign him as the QB of the future. I wonder if he's rather wait his turn in Tampa or come play here from the start?
