At least Duke isn't winless against ranked teams in the ACC. All I've heard about this year is how Duke is going to stumble and fall flat on their face, and how great the Heels are (which they are a great team) but Duke is only behind them by one game in the overall standings. It's hard to say that Duke wouldn't get a #1 seed with a sweep of North Carolina, identical records, and a 3-1 record against the upper epchilon of the conference and have Carolina go 0-3. Duke has already done more than they were expected to this year. Carolina was expected to sweep them EASILY. If Carolina doesn't win on Sunday with the conference championship on the line, and senior night against their biggest rival, and for a lock on a #1 seed then they should hide their faces in the sand.

Losing Dockery is gonna make it hard to win against good teams with good point guards (ie Felton) but I am sure Duke will at least give them a good game.

Compared to where dook has been, they have stumbled or I guess it could be that UNC and Wake did a lot better. Not sure who said we should EASILY sweep dook. They should have beat dook at dook but didn't get the job done. They will need to step it up against dook this Sunday, although dook is thin, UNC has to come ready to play and not be intimidated. UNC will need to play D the entire game and keep the TO's down like they did against FSU.

Felton and May have picked it up a lot the last few games, which is the right time of the season to do it.

pressure defense from duke seems to take this group of tarheels out of their game completely........enter "street ball" and the ensuing loss. until they can overcome this stigma they will never be able to make that next step. this will be the acid test that should prove whether or not if the tarheels are ready to seriously contend the national title. lots of people have them picked for the final four already but i gotta see a little more vs. elite teams in big games. this will be a big game.

Well, I'm probably going to get bashed by saying this, but I'm going to be at the game. Before you hate, it's work related as I'm taking a diehard Heel fan to the game. The things I do for a great client!

Assuming you are a dook fan that has got to be one of the dumbest arguments I have ever read. At least Carolina hasnt lost to some $hitty conferance team, so there nanny nanny boo boo.

Come on, Carolina lost it opener to a overwhelmin under dog and that served as a wake up call to the team and they responded. We lost to a very good wake team on the road and a decent dook team on the road.

Lets see, dook lost to Maryland twice and a good wake team on the road and who else was it.... OH YEAH how about those Virginia Tech Hokies
    :ylsuper:

Come back when you got something better. Even IF dook were to win at Carolina your losses too marland and VTech discredit your season.

Having lost to Virginia Tech or Maryland still doesn't change the fact that Carolina is still winless against ranked teams in the conference. Sure Duke shouldn't have lost to VT or Maryland, but I'm talking about the Heels not beating a ranked conference team. I've heard almost as many "UNC is a lock for the final four" this year as I heard "The Tarheels are back!" during the year they made the NIT. Since when is the Final Four EVER a lock. I do think all the ACC teams that make the tourney will go pretty far though and wouldn't be surprised to see 2 ACC teams in the Final Four, but I remember the year Carolina made it as an 8 or 9 seed their was only one #1 seed in the Final Four that year. It should be another crazy tournament this year.

sockit your argument is still so full of shit my monitor reeks - dook beat two ranked ACC teams - both at home.

UNC hasn't played either ranked team at home yet. Meanwhile UNC has run the table on EVERY OTHER ACC team - and EVERY OTHER ranked non conference opponent they played.
