See, the best way is the direct approach.

Sandy, just a few questions to know where you are coming from.

Did Collins suddenly become a bad leader this year? Doesn't it say something about his abilities that with the same strong running game, the same defense, featuring the defensive player of the year, that they had a 7-9 record? When the only difference was a stronger schedule?

That when they needed plays from Collins vs the Rams, or the Eagles, that he fell short in low scoring games?

I'll say this. Collins is much more of a "leader" now with the Giants than he EVER was with us. On the field AND off. And yet they were still 7-9? Why is that?

Exactly how many times have you seen Harrington play? Hmmmm. Seems to me another QB had similar success in college for several seasons. That's right. He had great players around him, so you should not count that.

Oh wait. What that sign say?

    IRONY ALERT!

First of all, sport - there are no insecurities on this end, and again, Its amazing how you tend to overlook the many posters who saw everything I saw about the career losing QB Bline. Your selective memory at it again?

    Nice job on the research...

Again, its all opinion. There are no facts - just opinion... I love how all of Collins succes is attributed to eveything around him... and never him.

The bottom line in this tired ole Bline debate is that is just that a debate based on opinion. He never would have started for us if Collins had not fudged up...

I bet you get a hard on everytime you think you have rebuted one of my comments... but you really are borderline simply not telling the truth when you think or say that I am the only one that thought he was not a leader on the field... if you want to do some real research, check with players throughout his history and not the WRs.

    >>Nice job on the research...

It took a minute and a half to paste in.

    >>Again, its all opinion.

That Collins is a better leader is your opinion. That "people who get paid to write" thingis false, and therefore fact since you have come up with nothing. I can prove pretty much everything I say, whether fact or opinion, because I have basis for what I'm saying. That makes the things I say plausible rather than laughable.

    >>There are no facts - just opinion... I love how all of Collins succes is attributed to eveything around him... and never him.

Are you saying that you disagree with everyone in the world that thought the panthers and giants defenses were top notch, championship quality defenses at the time Collins was winning with his teams? Does it bear any responsibility at all to you, that when those defenses waned, so did the winning percentage, almost as a direct function?

    >>The bottom line in this tired ole Bline debate is that is just that a debate based on opinion. He never would have started for us if Collins had not fudged up...

That's very true. I've said all throughout this pissiness that Collins was more physically gifted, and that he was given several chances, not only here but elsewhere, when he'd not necessarily deserved it. Hell, he was playing his best career football in 1998, but the team was 0-4, he was worried about his contract, and he had low self-esteem. I had been happy with his product those four games. He was a decent quarterback.

But that has nothing to do with this argument.

    >>I bet you get a hard on everytime you think you have rebuted one of my comments

That's disgusting. Keep it to yourself please.

    >>but you really are borderline simply not telling the truth when you think or say that I am the only one that thought he was not a leader on the field.

and if you want to bring something to the table otherwise, I'd be willing to read that. But fact is you have nothing, and act as if you do. That's not a lie. That's truth, because you havent' the slightest.

    >>.. if you want to do some real research, check with players throughout his history and not the WRs.

Uhh, okay, was there even coherence to that statement?
Why not the WRs? Do they not know the quarterback? Maybe I should ask the linemen what they thought of him, the ones who didn't think the racist jokes were funny.

Bottom line the only trades I'd make are the one Brain has outlined with SD , to NO for both their 1st rounders (I'd take Bryant or Sims and Rumph with them) and a 3rd, or to Buffalo for #4, their 2nd, with a 3rd this year or 2nd next year.
