don't hold your breath. this whole conference shake up originated right here in our state. no apologies will ever be given and they could care less about teams like us. I do like Coach K's comments about how bad the ACC has looked in the process.

HPniner....I read it differently. It seems to me that Charlotte could be the odd team out.

    This quote bothered me.

-But Trachtenberg said that being so far west is not necessarily a detriment for SLU.

"It may help them," he said. "There will be an interesting debate about all of those kinds of issues. It could depend on what the other school is." -

I read that as, they could look at taking either Charlotte or SLouis, but not together b/c of traveling costs, and that if Boston is the 'other school'...SLouis could get one of the invites along w/ Boston. Seems to me that SLouis is in the driver seat based on what I've read.

    Might be wrong though.

if that conference is willing to take Boston, with an RPI of 150 the last 5 years, then have at it, I don't want to be in a league like that. I think its alot of posturing for more money and giving his old school press. He wants everyone to feel insecure so the bargaing is easier on his half.

When another member institution makes comments other than the GW president, I'll worry.

That guy is pissing me off though. Who is GW anyway? They haven't been good since Jarvis left.

sf49er, if the A-10 is wanting to upgrade their basketball status, a 10-year RPI average of 48 (with last season in the low 90s) from Charlotte speaks volumes. I'd put that number up against NCSU and Clemson's 10-year RPIs.
